I am originally from a very small town in Illinois a few hours from Chicago. I started working at an early age babysitting, detasseling and hand pollinating corn and walking beans. From there I went on to have many customer service jobs in order to put myself through school (Northern Illinois University) – waitressing, bartending, working in a bakery and in fast food to name a few. All of those jobs helped me to realize that the customer is every company’s number one priority! I have held onto that philosophy ever since.
I began working at Impact Plastics in the Fall of 2010, bringing over 13 years of marketing and graphic design experience from the logistics industry. And I’ve been enjoying every fast-paced minute of it!
I have three awesome children, and I try to hang out with them in my free time; however, two are teens, so I’m learning that hanging out with mom isn’t exactly their idea of cool — unless food is involved! 🙂 I also love to travel, hike and run in races. I ran my first race in 2005, just to fight the whole age thing, and now I’m addicted and recently ran my ninth marathon!!
And, of course, I also find myself looking at dumpster lids wherever I go now too, so when we go to restaurants, we have to drive around to the back before we can park–my kids just LOVVVE that! Maybe that’s why they think I’m not so cool!!??? Hmm….
